What type of wood to produce the best sound in an acoustic guitar?
I want to know what the wood to make the best sound for me to know who I should buy Martin. Some peaks are cedar, mahogany, Sitka spruce, Koa, Indian Rosewood, and Rosewood.
Everyone good, they are all different. What works best for you (and what a combination!) Is a matter of personal preference. Forget Brazilian property. Much too expensive and the quality of newly released in Brazil is low. Koa is great, but takes time to really open up its potential. The only way to know is play them and see them. I would like a Koa / Cedar guitar. But many may be too soft.

I am interested in your scraps 40pc. But do you have any smaller scraps. I am looking for 40-60 2 inch pieces of koa for a project for friends. Do you have any? If not, is the 40pc still available? Thank you.

P.S. I live on Oahu so shipping won’t be a problem.
I am visiting Oahu this week, 4/1 – 4/7 and I am looking for some Koa Pen Blanks to take back to a woodshop teacher as a gift. Is there anything I can purchase from you and put in my suitcase?
