How can I be organized during cooking?
k when I cook, I end up using all of these bowls, dishes, pots, knives, etc. .. The kitchen is a mess when I'm done and this, I do cook for me and this happens to almost every meal I cook. I no children or a bf / husband. There must be a way to better organize without going through all the utensils and appliances.
Here are some tips to help to reduce or control the damage during cooking. 1. Combine all ingredients for a recipe on a tray or a good solid baking sheet. store them as you add them to the recipe. 2. You do not need a bowl for onions and celery to the other and the other for peppers. Either put directly into a large bowl that everything will be good or placed directly into the pan. 3. There are a lot of times it is quite safe to reuse a utensil. Simply do not reuse that has had raw meat, chicken, eggs for an ingredient that will not be fired after the measure. 4. I use 2 knives when preparing a main dish. A "cut" that works better (for me) for cleaning vegetables like onions or celery and chef's knife. If I make a jump and do all the prep at one point, I do the vegetables first, to put it all into a bowl, then make the meat. The meat can then directly into the pot and when you're ready for the veg, you're set. 5. If you are a cake and the recipe for 2 eggs, beaten and you have to measure the milk or something to measure liquid, crack eggs into liquid measuring cup that you will use and to beat them a bit before adding there. Then use the same cup to measure your milk. Clean as you go. When this is done with an item, drop it in a sink full of water soap and hot towels. Then, when there is a break in the action or hand wash or rinse briefly and pop in the dishwasher. Spill something? A simple phone today will be much easier than letting it dry and in need of a jackhammer later.
